Island Grand Services and Amenities
Always attentive in its approach, the TradeWinds Island Resorts staff strives to make all aspects of your experience as pleasant as possible. From check-in to car rental, room service to resort amenities, the commitment to guest service forms the cornerstone of the TradeWinds philosophy.
Arrival/Departure
Guests may check in after 4:00 p.m.; checkout time is 11 a.m. Please consult the front desk for availability and charges associated with early check-in or late checkout.
Activities
The TradeWinds Action Zone (also known as T.A.Z.) provides scheduled daily activities from A to Z at the Island Grand - including aerobics, swimming lessons, tennis clinics, and a variety of programs for children through the KONK Club Kids Only, No Kidding!) activities center at Island Grand. Many programs are complimentary. Programming varies seasonally, and includes activities for the entire family.
Babysitting
Babysitting Services are provided 24 hours a day with advance reservations. All babysitters are licensed and bonded.
Transportation
Studio Sedan Service provides 24 hour transportation and are located in our lobby. They have Lincoln Town Cars and Shuttles. You may call locally at (727)343-3303 or toll free at 866-403-3303 (Advance reservations are required).
Super Shuttle International offering direct service seven days a week, specializing in all of your group needs. You may call locally at (727)572–1111 or toll free at 800-258-3826 (no reservation required out of the airport).
Check Cashing & ATM
Guests may cash Travelers' Checks up to $100 per day. ATM machines are located in the lobby of each resort.
Credit Cards
American Express, VISA, MasterCard, Diners Club, Carte Blanche and Discover are accepted for payment.
Resort Amenity Fee
Many incidental and a la carte charges have been eliminated and those amenities are now included in the Resort Amenity Fee a required nightly fee, providing services such as cabanas, paddleboats, tennis, parking, wireless internet, and more.
In-Room Safes
Safes are located in every room, and are one of the many benefits of the Explorer Value Pass.
Newspaper
Daily newspaper delivery to the guest's room is included in the Resort Amenity Fee.
Parking
Parking fee, $15 overnight, is included in the Resort Amenity Fee. There is only one car per a room per a night allowed. Special arrangements are required through the security department for oversized vehicles or displays. Valet parking is available at Island Grand.
Room Service
Island Grand: 6:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Sandpiper: 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Security
The resort provides 24-hour security. Special requirements for meeting room security should be made in advance with a convention services manager.
Taxes & Gratuities
Guest rooms are subject to applicable taxes, currently 12%; food and beverage is subject to a 7% tax. Service charge is 20% for planned food and beverage functions, 20% for room service.
